SOMA Sculpture park is an art space created with the basic concept of ‘Beautiful landscape of nature, sculpture and architecture in harmony’, ‘Open space for culture’ and ‘Sculpture park where people enjoy walking’. On the wide grass field that has symmetrical Mongchon Fortress in the opposite and Mongchon moat in between them, there are sculptures created by world’s renowned artists. The artificial hill and the walking trail covering the field make the artwork even more enjoyable. For landscaping, native trees were planted to match with the historical ruins of Baekje and wild flowers would bloom in each season on the walking trail.
Located close to downtown, visitors can come any time and enjoy various viewing courses such as
Project Exhibition and the Prairie for those who have a little time, and the Road of Innocence and the Sculpture Wood for those who have enough time to spend.
